For learners
You know the word, and the sentence still comes out simpler than the one you meant.
The problem is not the words, it is having nowhere to use them under pressure. This lesson gives you a topic you have a view on, the expressions you need to defend it, and exercises that mark themselves.

What you do
From someone else's text to a view of your own
- You read a short text about the difference between doing work and organising work.
- You meet seven expressions, each with a meaning and an example sentence.
- You practise them in gap-fill, matching and multiple-choice tasks, and see the result as soon as you check.
- At the end you rebuild someone's working week and justify every cut.

In the browser
The same lesson, only clickable
Instead of printing, you open the lesson on the platform. Closed exercises mark themselves, and your progress is saved task by task, so after a break you come back to the same place.

Before you pay
What is not here
Better to know now than after you buy.
- Nobody listens to you speak. There is no recording and no pronunciation scoring, you tick the speaking task off yourself.
- Open answers are not marked. Only tasks with one correct answer count towards the score.
- There are no tutors and no private lessons. This is material to work through alone or with a teacher you already have.
- We do not teach beginners. The lowest level in the catalogue is A2, and the lesson about work sits at B2 and C1.
