The student's version

The reading text, seven expressions with their meanings, the exercises and the speaking tasks. No answer key here, because it sits in your version.

The teacher's version

The same lesson, with a note and a rough timing at every stage, plus the full key. You can see when to move on without reading the material a second time at midnight.

How it runs

Seventy-five minutes, mapped out

This is how the lesson about work goes, from the opening question to the homework. None of these stages asks you to add anything of your own.

  1. A short reading text about the difference between doing work and organising work, with comprehension questions.
  2. Seven target expressions, each with a meaning and an example sentence.
  3. Gap-fill, matching and multiple-choice exercises built on those same expressions.
  4. A ranking task, two speaking tasks and a challenge where the group redesigns someone else's working week.
  5. A conversation transcript and a piece of homework, plus notes, timings and a full answer key in your version.

You may

  • Teach from it with your own students: one to one, in pairs, in a small group or with a whole class.
  • Teach from it online and on paper.
  • Come back to it as many times as you need.

You may not

  • Resell the file.
  • Share it outside your own lessons.
