Big Talks
A Big Talk is the main course, not a starter. Sixty to ninety minutes built around one idea worth discussing, from the opening question through vocabulary and exercises to a speaking task and a final challenge that asks students to decide, rank or defend something. Reach for a Big Talk when today's lesson is the whole lesson, not a ten minute filler, and you want a complete plan you can teach with almost no preparation.
